NEW LAW PROTECTS WORKERS

Friday, February 5th, 2010

On January 1, 2010, the New Hampshire’s Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (NH WARN Act) took effect. The new law also applies in situations in which a company plans to layoff more than one-third of the workforce. The purpose is to speed up the process of workers getting unemployment benefits and job retraining.
