Chuck, the founder of the firm and a former New Hampshire Supreme Court Justice, has been recognized as one of New Hampshire's top attorneys.

Chuck focuses his practice on litigation.  He also has extensive experience in government relations on the state and national level.

Prior to founding the firm, Chuck served as legal counsel to then-Governor Meldrim Thomson, Jr. in 1973 -1974.  He was appointed as a Superior Court  Judge from 1974 - 1976.  In 1977, Chuck became one of  the youngest New Hampshire Supreme Court Justices, serving until 1985.  Chuck served as a Congressman in the United States House of Representatives, Second District, in 1989 -1990. 

Chuck has served as an Adjunct Faculty member at Franklin Pierce Law Center and at the American Bar Association's Appellate Judge's Seminars.  He was Chairman of the New Hampshire Constitution Bicentennial Education Commission and a member of the Constitutional Convention Study Commission.  Chuck serves on the New Hampshire Judicial Retirement Plan Board of Trustees and is currently its Chairman.

He is a frequent lecturer on personal injury and employment law matters. In addition to publishing numerous articles, Chuck has authored three books:  New Hampshire Practice and Procedure:  Family Law; New Hampshire Evidence Manual and Guide for Justices of the Peace.
